Baby Humpback Whales is The Very First Discovery in Kauai Waters During the 2021-2022 Humpback Whale Season!
Captain Mike Lynch of Holo Holo Charters found the initial humpback whale of the period in Kauai waters this previous Saturday, October 2, 2021. Holo Holo Charters' vessel Leila, was just a quarter-mile off Nohili when Captain Mike saw a child humpback whale breaching a minimum of 6 times! Nohili Point is at the much western side of the island just north of the Pacific Missile Range Facility.
" Scientists think that Humpbacks usually offer birth within the Hawaiian Islands, or sometimes on the way down from Alaska. Pinpointing the precise age of a calf bone can be challenging, but normally, if they are being energetic like breaching, they are at least a couple of weeks old.
According to the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary's website, Humpback whales are typically seen in Hawai'i from November via April each year with the height season from January through March. Around fifty percent of the north Pacific humpback whales, representing thousands of animals, see the waters around the Hawaiian Islands, consisting of haven waters.

" It's always amazing to hear regarding the first whale sighting in Kauai waters, I am envious I really did not see it myself! "During peak whale season it's practically impossible to not see a whale while on trip, so it's an unique reward for any person on board during these very early sightings."
If you book a charter currently there is a fantastic opportunity you and your family will experience seeing a whale.
